Circular hike Zimmereben

Start at the hotel and walk to the train station in Mayrhofen. Go straight over the tracks towards Schwendau, past the bakery to the Zillerpromenade. Walk over the bridge and continue a few metres to the right on the road until you reach the Zimmereben ascent (853m) via the Huterlaner Steig No. 2c (immediately after the Zillertal Inn). The trail leads you in steep hairpin bends and in the upper area over steep steps and rocky terrain to a hillside meadow.

Now the Zimmereben inn is already in sight. For the way back, we recommend trail no. 2 via the Kreuzlau district. From the Zimmereben inn, continue straight on. In the initially rocky terrain, you will pass the small chapel of St. Anthony.

You will then reach open terrain and then continue in pleasant bends down to the Kreuzlau district. There you come to the road, turn left and walk along the Ziller back to the bridge and the hotel.
