From the Spieljochbahn mountain station, a wide, gravelled hiking trail leads directly to the Spieljoch summit cross at 1,920m. The trail continues over a short rocky passage, which is followed by the first ascent to the Onkeljoch. From the top station of the chairlift, continue briefly downhill until you reach the trail junction and the alpine trail to the Kellerjoch trifft. The trail crosses below the massive group of rocks and then climbs steadily through alpine pastures to gain more and more height. After reaching a ridge passage, the Inn Valley lies at your feet on the right - time for a panoramic break with a view of the Karwendel! After a short stretch downhill on the narrow, partly exposed trail, the path immediately climbs up again. Across grassy, treeless terrain you reach the next rocky section. This leads steeply upwards, partly secured by wire ropes, to a gravel gully, which can be unpleasant to walk in wet conditions. The alpine path leads over the Kellerjochkapelle chapel.
to the Kellerjochhütte. Descent via Gartalm Hochleger and Geolsalm back to the Spieljochbahn or via Gartalm Hochleger, Falschegg and Onkeljoch to the Spieljochbahn mountain station. This trail is ONLY for experienced mountaineers with equipment!
