You start at the hotel and walk through the main street of Mayrhofen to Gasthof Brücke. From here, first follow the road towards Stilluptal and turn left at the fork to Oberkumbichl. Follow the road straight on until you reach a wooden footbridge.
Immediately afterwards, turn right. Now the steep path takes you up in many hairpin bends to the green alpine slopes and the Alpenrose inn (1,398m).
