Hintertux - Kasererscharte - Frauenwand

The hiking tour is also affectionately called the "flower trail". Alpine roses, St. John's wort and gentian provide a lovely contrast to the mighty glacier with its famous peaks.

Take the gondola from Hintertux (1,500 m) to the Sommerbergalm (2,100 m). From there, take the trail to the junction (1/2 h) and continue up the flowering mountain slopes to the Kasererscharte. With good visibility, you can see as far as the Ötztal and Stubai Alps from the Scharte.

Continue on a rope-secured trail (no fear of heights and sure-footedness required) to the Frauenwand and the Tuxer-Joch-Haus (2,313 m). Follow trail no. 17/AV trail no. 326 leisurely through the Weitental valley, past the Schleier waterfall to descend to Hintertux on AV trail no. 324.

Our tip: Watch out for marmots - don't forget your camera and binoculars!

Fahren Sie mit der Gondel von Hintertux (1.500 m) zur Sommerbergalm (2.100 m). Von dort gehen Sie den Weg bis zur Kreuzung (1/2 Std.) und weiter an den blühenden Berghängen hinauf bis zur Kasererscharte.

Bei guter Fernsicht haben Sie von der Scharte aus Blick bis zu den Ötztaler- und Stubaier Alpen. Auf seilgesichertem Weg (Schwindelfreiheit und Trittsicherheit erforderlich) geht es weiter zur Frauenwand und zum Tuxer-Joch-Haus (2.313 m). Den Weg Nr. 17/AV-Weg Nr. 326 folgen Sie gemütlich durch das Weitental, vorbei am Schleierwasserfall um auf dem AV-Weg Nr. 324 nach Hintertux abzusteigen.
