Enjoyable circular route along fantastic mountain scenery! The starting point of route no. 476 is the Penkenbahn mountain station. From there the route leads along a gravel path past the Pilzbar restaurant in the direction of Penkenberg. After approx. 500 m turn right following the road towards the forest - please watch out for hikers here. Several hairpin bends lead to the Gschößberg, from where you descend on the right to the "Hochleger Stockach". Follow the road to the Mittertrettalm, from here it is downhill. This is a good opportunity to take a deep breath before heading back uphill to the Tappenalm at the bottom of the valley after crossing the Horbergbach stream.
A few metres before the Tappenalm, the trail leads to the right in the direction of the Horbergbahn. From here, the route is a little more challenging up the mountain until you can roll the last few metres back to the Penken cable car. At the end of the route, the surrounding restaurants invite you to take a break.
This route can also be done in the opposite direction!
